Campers will use iPads or iPhones to generate accompaniment tracks to write to, in whatever style they prefer. We will expand our writing skills while exploring line length and rhythm, rhyming, alliteration, metaphor, and song structure while writing a couple group songs and producing individual pieces. Students will be exposed to a variety of iOS apps that can assist with songwriting and recording. Students are required to bring their own iPad or iPhone and will also be required to purchase at least one accompaniment app (under $10) from a list the instructor will provide on the first day of camp. Students will be expected to purchase the app(s) at home and return to camp prepared with the app(s) on day two.
