The mission of Gorman Heritage Farm is to cultivate a healthy community through farm-based education and experiences about food, sustainable agriculture, and the natural world. DEI STATEMENT At Gorman Heritage Farm, we are actively and proudly working to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion within the farming and sustainable food production space, as we recognize these spaces have historically not been welcoming to all. Gorman Heritage Farm includes and empowers the presence and ideas of people in the LGBTQIA+ community, people across the gender spectrum, Black and Indigenous individuals, people of color, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disabilities. It is our desire to not only bring greater awareness to the ecological and health benefits of sustainable farming, but to also create equitable and welcoming spaces for historically marginalized communities, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in our programming, reference material, supporter base, staff, and leadership.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Gorman Heritage Farm resides on the ancestral lands of the Shawandasse Tula, Miaamia, Osage, and Kaskaskia peoples, Hopewell Culture and Adena Culture, who lived on and cared for this land since time immemorial.
